Sea Freight Container Type

Ocean freight cabinets mainly include two categories: ordinary cabinet type and special cabinet.
Ordinary cabinet type mainly includes the following sizes and types of containers.
- 20-foot container (20GP): this is one of the most common container types, and its external dimensions are usually about 6.096m long, 2.438m wide. 2.591m high. The capacity of 20-foot container is moderate and suitable for transportation of general cargo.
- 40-foot container (40GP): another common type of container, its external dimensions are about 12.192m long, 2.438m wide, 2.591m high. 2.438m wide and 2.591m high. The capacity of 40-foot container is twice that of 20-foot container, which is suitable for transportation of large amount of goods.
- 40-foot container (40HQ): the same length as 40-foot container, but the height increases, usually about 2.896m high. This kind of container is suitable for the transportation of goods with higher height, such as large machinery and equipment, furniture, etc.
- 45-foot high-cabinet (45HC): this is a less common type of container, its length is about 13.716m, the same width and height as 40-foot high-cabinet. It is about 2.438m wide and usually about 2.896m high. The 45-foot HC has a larger capacity and is suitable for the transportation of large cargoes.
Specialty containers include the following types:
- Refrigerated container (REEFER CONTAINER, RF): used for transportation of cargo that needs to be refrigerated or frozen.
- OPEN-TOP CONTAINER (OT): the top can be opened, suitable for the transportation of steel and other goods that can not be loaded and unloaded from the top.
- Frame container (PLATFORM BASED CONTAINER): there is no top and four walls, only the bottom of the frame, suitable for the transportation of ultra-long, super-wide or super-high cargo.
- Hanging clothes container (GARMENTS ON HANGERS, referred to as GOH): specially designed for the transportation of hanging clothes and other textiles.
