Container to USA UK Italy from China DDP
DDP, English full name Delivered Duty Paid, (named place of destination) Chinese name for delivery after tax. (...... named place of destination)
"Delivered Duty Paid (...... named place of destination)" means that the seller, at the named place of destination, completes the import clearance formalities and hands over to the buyer the goods that have not yet been unloaded on the delivery means of transportation and completes the delivery. The seller must bear all the risks and costs of transporting the goods to the named place of destination, including any "duties" payable at the place of destination in the event that customs formalities are required (including the responsibility for and the risk of customs formalities, as well as the payment of fees, duties, taxes and other charges).
The buyer is most responsible under EXW terms and the seller is most responsible under DDP terms.
This term should not be used if the seller is unable to obtain an import license, either directly or indirectly.
However, if the parties wish to exclude from the seller's obligations all charges to be paid on any importation (e.g. VAT), this should be expressly stated in the contract of sale.
